Conventions

Fall Leadership Convention (FLC)
This weekend long convention is usually held on the first weekend of November. It is hosted by a club or group of clubs somewhere in the District on a rotating basis. Most recently, the KW Family of Kin hosted FLC 2008 & 2012 here in Kitchener.

This convention exists primarily as a learning weekend for members of our District. Through breakout seminars throughout the day on Saturday, members learn about things such as club leadership, club finances, marketing to new members, fundraising ideas and initiatives among many other topics.

As always, this convention is also an excellent chance for fellowship with other members from around the district.

Spring Convention
This weekend long convention is usually held on or around the May long weekend each year. It too is hosted by a club or group of clubs somewhere in the District on a rotating basis.

At this convention, the members have the opportunity to be kept informed of the inner-workings of the District along with discussing any pertinent issues of the day. We also elect the coming years District Leadership team at this convention.

Again, as always, fellowship is the main attraction to attending this convention.

National Convention
This 4 to 5 day convention is usually held in August of each year. It is hosted by a club or region that rotates across the country through all 8 Districts.

This convention is where the members have the opportunity to discuss and be informed of the national initiatives of our Association. It is also our opportunity to vote on our National leader in the form of National Vice President.

Fellowship is a main draw to this convention as well, however, this time members can meet others from across the country.
